I am LOVING this weather. It is so lush and green. The flowers are still out and the softness of the grass on the trails is a treat. We all know it's coming though! Those hot Montana summer days and wildfire season.

I wanted to share a really incredible community resource with you. We have a local non-profit called FireSafe Helena that works to make properties more resilient to wildfire. At Big Sky Brokers, we recently had a presentation and were all WOWED! by their services. They offer FREE risk assessments and have cost-sharing and grant programs to assist property owners reduce their fire risks. They even have a fire-wise community garden where you can learn about great plants that are drought resistant and don't contribute to your fire risk. They also said, rip out those Juniper bushes! That was new for me. The organization serves Broadwater, Jefferson and Lewis & Clark Counties. Check them out and don't forget what Smokey the Bear says!

I'm looking forward to cooling off in the lake after work-we are SO lucky for all of the beautiful waters so close to town.
